#TheReadingQuest Update

I've made some progress in #TheReadingQuest and also made a few changes.

I need to update my points.

Main Quests:

A Book Cover With A Partially Obscured Face - Once and for All by Sarah Dessen
A Book With less than 500 Ratings on GoodReads - Words on Bathroom Walls by Julia Walton
A Book Published By A Small Press - Family Don't End with Blood by Lynn S. Zubernis
A Book With A One Word Title - Beauty by Caroline Lee

Side Quests:

Past and/or Future - Deja Who by MaryJanice Davidson - Finished 8/21
Companion/Short Story - Matt's Story by Lauren Gibaldi
Free Choice - Burma Chronicles by Guy Delisle - Finished 8/17
DNF - P.S. I Like You by Kasie West - Finished 8/27

In true Rogue fashion all the challenges I've completed have been side quests.  I never do things normally.

Bout of Books Update #7 & Wrap Up

I read 33 pages in P.S. I Like You and finished it.  It was really a fun read.

I started Isla and the Happily Every After by Stephanie Perkins and read 8 pages.

I read a total of 41 pages on Sunday.

Entrance to my neighborhood

Hurricane Harvey slammed into Houston this weekend and our whole day was pretty topsy turvy.  We were lucky enough that while our area flooded our house stayed dry.  Not everyone was so lucky.  Go away, Harvey!

Overall I read 358 pages, finished two books and started a third.  It was a pretty good Bout of Books for me.

Bout of Books Update #6

Hurricane Harvey was bearing down on us yesterday.  We went out to lunch then took up spots in our local Starbucks while the rain came down.

I read 50 pages in P.S. I Like You and really enjoyed it.

Bout of Books Update #5

I had CKC yesterday and one day was cancelled due to hurricane Harvey so it was my only day there.

I didn't get as much reading done but did get some in.  I read 33 pages in P.S. I Like You.

Bout of Books Update #4

It was a busy day with Richard flying back in and lots to do around here but I still managed to read.

I read 58 pages in P.S. I Like You.  It's a cute, fluffy book.

Bout of Books Update #3

I read 53 pages in P.S. I Like You.  It's an easy read which is good because it's been a busy couple of days.

I read partly during the day (which was interesting with a puppy and kitten) and then after our game last night Nancy and I headed to Starbucks.  Gotta get the reading time in.

Bout of Books Update #2

So this Bout of Books is a bit different for me as my husband is out of town.  So I'm spending a lot more time handling things around the house than normal.  And at the end of this week I have CKC which will take up a good chunk of Fri and Sat.  But so far I'm staying on track.

I read 52 pages in P.S. I Like You by Kasie West.  It's an easy read and moves quickly.  I read a bit during the day and then my best friend and I made a stop at Starbucks after dinner.  I really want to get through this book this week.  So far so good.

For a total of 71 pages on day one.  Off to a good start.

I'm taking part in Bout of Books!

I'm taking part in Bout of Books!

This will be the ninth time I've taken part on Bout of Books and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll post a TBR pile tomorrow.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 21st and runs through Sunday, August 27th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 20 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
