Opening Meme

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
The Woodlands, TX
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
It's a tie between There's Someone Inside Your House and Pyongand: A Journey in North Korea
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Banana Pie Dip
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I'm not a morning person so you'll rarely see me for the first few hours of the RAT. I have a new kitten named Charlie and this will his first RAT.  I love hot tea and spooky books.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
This is our 20th RAT!  I can't believe it's been that many but I've loved them all. We change things up a little every time but for the most part we have a schedule that works for us.  Breakfast and lunch at home, dinner out and some snacks to keep us going.  I also picked up some sweet tea to keep my caffeine level up.  Happy Reading!

Hot Tea in one of my favorite cups.

End of Hours One and Two

I slept for the first two hours and am now up and getting situated, including eating our traditional RAT breakfast of Dunkin' Donuts.  Opening meme to follow.

Hurricane Harvey slammed into Houston this weekend and our whole day was pretty topsy turvy.  We were lucky enough that while our area flooded our house stayed dry.  Not everyone was so lucky.  Go away, Harvey!

Overall I read 358 pages, finished two books and started a third.  It was a pretty good Bout of Books for me.

I read 53 pages in P.S. I Like You.  It's an easy read which is good because it's been a busy couple of days.

Bout of Books Update #2

So this Bout of Books is a bit different for me as my husband is out of town.  So I'm spending a lot more time handling things around the house than normal.  And at the end of this week I have CKC which will take up a good chunk of Fri and Sat.  But so far I'm staying on track.

I read 52 pages in P.S. I Like You by Kasie West.  It's an easy read and moves quickly.  I read a bit during the day and then my best friend and I made a stop at Starbucks after dinner.  I really want to get through this book this week.  So far so good.
